A four-month hybrid program for early-stage tech startups seeking a structured, non-immigration-based pathway to establish and grow operations in Ontario, Canada. The program combines expert-led training, 1:1 coaching, and ecosystem guidance, and concludes with a one-week in-person bootcamp in Canada. Eligible founders may receive an invitation letter to support travel under a business visitor visa.

Finalizing with a 1-Week Bootcamp

The program concludes with a one-week in-person bootcamp, designed to connect startups with Canada’s innovation ecosystem and consolidate the outcomes of the four-month soft-landing experience.

Softlanding Month 1

Objective: Complete legal, financial, and operational setup while building the first pipeline of local leads.

  • Incorporation & Compliance Clinic: bylaws, shareholder structure, employment law, IP ownership, NDAs

  • Finance Stack: bank account setup, HST/tax registration, SR&ED overview, grant landscape (IRAP, provincial programs)

  • Immigration Pathways (non-SUV): Alternative paths to the Startup Visa Program.

  • Market Intelligence & Ecosystem Mapping: key clusters, trade offices, accelerators, procurement platforms

Softlanding Month 2

Objective: Confirm market demand, refine pricing, and initiate local partnerships or pilots.

  • Customer Discovery Sprints: structured interviews, objection logs, insight tracking

  • Pricing & Packaging Workshop: Canadian benchmarks and margin validation

  • Partnership Development: Identifying possible partners to help sell or deliver your solution, learning how cloud marketplaces operate, and getting familiar with basic procurement requirements.

  • Brand & Demand: positioning for Canada, content plan, event calendar

  • Government & Corporate Procurement: registration, bidding basics, compliance documentation

Softlanding Month 3

Objective: Pursue pilots, project early revenue, and prepare for fundraising.

  • Pilot Design & Success Metrics: scope definition, KPIs, procurement checklists
  • Financial Readiness: cap table review, forecasting, and use-of-funds planning
  • Fundraising Mechanics: Canadian angels and seed funds; SAFE, equity, and note structures
  • Pitch & Story Development: narrative refinement, deck review, and investor Q&A preparation.

Softlanding Month 4

Objective: Consolidate progress, activate ecosystem connections, and finalize next-stage plans.

Weeks 1–3 (Remote / Hybrid)
  • Deal & Pilot Follow-Up: advancing conversations, LOIs, pilot timelines

  • Investor Outreach Prep: warm intros, data room readiness, meeting sequencing

  • Hiring & Operations Planning: early team roles, contractors, compliance considerations

  • Go-Forward Strategy: 6–12 month roadmap aligned with capital and market entry

Week 4 — One-Week In-Person Bootcamp (Program Conclusion)

Focus: Orientation, immersion, and high-impact networking.

  • Visits to innovation centres, accelerators, and government programs in Toronto and surrounding regions
  • Practical sessions on doing business in Canada (sales cycles, partnerships, hiring, compliance)
  • Curated networking sessions with investors, peers, and ecosystem partners
  • Final strategy review and next-steps planning
  • Sales pitch competition when ready
  • Meeting room access in downtown Toronto for client or partner meetings
  • Legal & finance office hours 
  • Immigration guidance (non-SUV pathways)
